Asian Medicine
Traditional Asian Medicine has been used successfully for thousands of years. Acupuncture, shiatsu, herbal medicine, moxibustion and cupping are used to improve and maintain health. Traditional Asian Medicine is a complete natural medical system that is used to diagnose and treat illness, prevent disease and improve well-being.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture uses ultra-fine needles to balance the flow of the body’s subtle energy system. Precise points along channels found on the body help to regulate this flow. Acupuncture treatments have a systemic effect of increasing endorphins (body’s natural opiates), enhancing the body’s immune system, allowing for deep relaxation, and decreasing pain.

Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a form of Japanese channel therapy. It offers benefits similar to acupuncture, only it is a body work that relies on pressure and stretches, rather than needles, to enhance  flow in the channels. Benefits include pain relief, enhanced immunity and vitality, and relaxation.

Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine is complex system of natural substances found in roots, twigs, flowers, minerals and other organic materials. Simple formulas (either tablets or granules) can support and enhance the physiological shifts that occur with acupuncture and shiatsu treatments. Safe and effective, herbal medicine plays an important role in supporting the body’s health and vitality – in conjunction with other treatments or as a treatment itself.

Moxibustion
Moxibustion, or moxa, is an external heat therapy using the herb Ai Ye (mugwort) which is used to heat and tonify the body.

Cupping
Cupping therapy utilizes glass cups to create localized  vacuum pressure. The vacuum inside the cups increases blood flow to the area and aids in healing. The deep nature of the suction causes a release of toxins and increase in lymphatic drainage.
